Blue Fly Cafe was founded in 1997 as a commercial fly tying facility selling to wholesale distributors and fly shops across the United States and Canada. In 1998 Blue Fly Cafe began selling direct to the public, this bypassed normal distribution channels which triple the selling price of a fishing fly.

Our distribution facility and offices are located in Eagle (Boise), Idaho. Through modern distribution techniques and a large inventory, we are able to fill most orders in 24 hours. Our flies are stored in an environmentally controlled area with proper temperature, humidity, and air purification maintained. This assures you, our customer, of quality fishing flies that are properly stored until shipment to your door in labeled containers.

All of Blue Fly Cafe's flies are produced at our tying facility using only the finest materials such as Daiichi hooks, and feathers from Whiting Farms. By managing the fly tying process from start to finish, you can rest assured of a durable and dependable well-tied fly. Many of our tiers have been tying flies for generations and their experience shows in the flies they produce.
